Multi-anvil and laser-heated diamond anvil methods have been used to subject Ge and Si mixtures to pressures and temperatures of between 12 and 17 GPa and 1500–1800 K, respectively. Synchrotron angle dispersive X-ray diffraction, precession electron diffraction and chemical analysis using electron microscopy, reveal recovery at ambient pressure of hexagonal Ge−Si solid solutions (P63/mmc). Taken together, the multi-anvil and diamond anvil results reveal that hexagonal solid solutions can be prepared for all Ge−Si compositions. This hexagonal class of solid solutions constitutes a significant expansion of the bulk Ge−Si solid solution family, and is of interest for optoelectronic applications.  相似文献

The debate over the orbital order in the layered triangular lattice system NaTiO2 has been rekindled by the recent experiments of McQueen et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 101 (2008) 166402] on NaVO2. In view of this, the nature of orbital ordering, in both high and low temperature phases, is studied using an ab-initio electronic structure calculation. The orbital order observed in our calculations in the low temperature structure of NaTiO2 is consistent with the predictions of McQueen et al. An LDA plus dynamical mean-field calculation shows considerable transfer of spectral weight from the Fermi level but no metal–insulator transition, confirming the poor metallic behavior observed in transport measurements.  相似文献

This work presents a rigorous analysis of mathematical and physical properties for solutions of multiscale deconvolution turbulence models. We show that solutions of these models exactly conserve model quantities for the integral invariants of fundamental physical importance: kinetic energy, helicity, and (in two dimensions) enstrophy. The kinetic energy conservation is the key that allows us to next apply the phenomenology of homogeneous, isotropic turbulence to establish the existence of a model energy cascade and, in particular, that the cascade exhibits enhanced energy dissipation in a secondary accelerated cascade, which ends at the model's microscale (which we establish is larger than the Kolmogorov microscale). We also prove that the model dissipates energy at the same rate as true turbulent flow, ~ O(U3L), independent of Reynolds number. Lastly, we prove the existence of global attractors for the model solutions; the proof of which also shows that solutions are actually one degree of regularity higher than previously known. This article demonstrates the utility of DOSY NMR for the determination of the optimal conditions for the efficient covalent, reversible cross‐linking of macromolecules in water for hydrogel formation. The studied model system was hyperbranched polyglycidol (HbPGL) containing numerous diol groups in peripheral regions and two types of boronic acids, that is, B(OH)4? and benzene‐1,4‐boronic diacid, as cross‐linking agents. Diffusion coefficient changes of a polymer in solution, under the influence of various concentrations of cross‐linking agent and pH, which influences the equilibrium of the reaction between boronic acids and diols, were recorded. These data are consistent with the rheological properties, namely the Gmax(ω) of hydrogels prepared under analogous conditions, from more concentrated solutions of HbPGL. This approach appears to be promising as it facilitates avoiding the loss of a large amount of polymer that is necessary for the elaboration of appropriate conditions for network formation in aqueous media. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The first attempts to use ethynylsiloxysilsesquioxanes as reagents for hydrosilylation in the presence of Pt‐ and Ru‐based catalysts are reported. The results obtained strongly depend on the catalytic system used. The catalysts are proved to promote regioselective introduction of β‐(E)‐ and α‐fragments of the alkenylsilane group to the silsesquioxane core. The favourable features of these catalytic systems are their high selectivity and the requirement for relatively mild conditions. This methodology was also successfully applied to dihydro‐substituted organosilicon compounds to obtain a new class of silsesquioxane‐based compounds.  相似文献

Helicenes are fascinating molecules owing to their unusual properties and applications in many fields from catalysis to organic electronics. Herein, we report a straightforward pathway for the synthesis of helicene‐like molecules on a gram scale in an enantiopure form. Thin‐film materials with good propagating optical properties and very high chiroptical responses have been grown by using pulsed laser ablation without altering the structure or the enantiopurity of the molecules. Moreover, electronic and vibrational circular dichroism spectroscopies coupled with theoretical calculations enabled some dependences of the chiroptical properties with the structure to be highlighted, for example, effects of rigidification, aromatization, or the state of matter (liquid versus solid).  相似文献
